Vital Statistic

who pulls which plug

The hospital has these amazing machines measuring vitals never before seen. It dumps all the factors in a big database predicting life or death, whichever’s the case. With results so accurate, they can define which case is urgent or who’s out of time. Relatives may opt to then stop treatment by power of attorney, or proxy consent. But pulling the plug for some patients means not on themselves—but on the machines.
