Poohsticks

meaning is made, not found

Art is more than an accident the artist likes.
It is assigned, much like Poohsticks,
pushing desire onto twigs fated by the stream.

Pooh and Piglet push their wish and the twigs,
and water push back a race upon the river.

Truth may be no more than survivor story
(the vanquished have no voice),
but even silent art is discovered
from what the artist drops upon the stream.
